Meet Shane, Plant Manager at Mother Raw! He's an important member of our RAWesome team, ensuring everything is running smoothly within our production facility. It's a big job, but he always has a friendly smile on his face. Read on to get to know Shane.
Tell us a little bit about your job here at Mother Raw.
At Mother Raw I am the Plant Manager! I oversee the daily operations of the plant, provide support to the production staff, and ensure that we live up to our name with producing healthy, and delicious dressings, dips, and sauces.
Do you have any hobbies? What are you most likely doing when you’re not working?
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, either getting away camping during the summer months, or coaching my kids hockey teams, during the winter. Another hobby of mine is spending time in the kitchen cooking for my family, trying out new recipes and foods, while having fun and being creative.
What is the most rewarding part of working at Mother Raw?
The most rewarding part of working at Mother Raw, is that I’ve had the opportunity to work collaboratively with the R&D team, with developing new and creative products, that you can see on grocery store shelves now.
How many kids do you have? Do they like Mother Raw?
I have two young boys who thoroughly enjoy a range of our Mother Raw products. My eldest son who is 9 has followed a couple of our recipes on our website and particularly enjoyed the Asian Salad Wraps using our Japanese style Dressing, while my 7 year old enjoys scooping our Spicy Queso right out of the jar with carrot sticks or nachos!
We know that you love to go camping with your family during the summer! Tell us a little bit about where you go & what you do!
My wife and I enjoy going camping across Ontario with our family, and dog. We appreciate the great outdoors, and what mother nature has to offer!
What products do you suggest parents give their kids to try first?
I’d suggest to parents to give their kids our Ketchup with some oven roasted sweet potato fries!
What is your favorite Mother Raw product?
I honestly have many products that I would consider my favourite, however it is the combination of Japanese Style Dressing, and our Spicy Queso that speaks to me. I like this combination in a salad bowl with kale, spiralized zucchini, fresh peas, chopped red peppers, and a hearty amount of quinoa.
